The challenge. As the nation’s largest—and Indiana’s only—community college system, Ivy Tech faced years of public misperception. They knew the key to moving forward meant challenging Hoosier opinions on the power of a two-year degree.

The answer. We discovered that the stigma didn’t lie solely with the Ivy Tech brand, but with “community college” in general. We asked audiences directly: “What do you really know about community college?” To meet the wide range of potential students, we utilized modular collages featuring students of many demographics, flanked by their many potential career options. Meanwhile, our PR team provided on-site media coaching to align the message statewide.
